MOVE…MOVE… and MOVE some MORE. Stay fit and active!

ELEMENTARY


1. Find a space and do your Loco motor skills:
a. Running
b. Galloping
c. Skipping
d. Leaping
e. Hopping
f. Sliding

You can do these at different speeds( super-fast, slow motion etc.) or different pathways(straight, zig zag) do them like you think an animal would do. Even ok to make sounds.

2. If you have brother and sisters play a game.a. Grab your sheet and pretend it’s a parachute-play shark attack or cat and rat
b. Grab a pair of socks(clean ones) ball them up and use as ball. Play toss.
c. Make up own game and equipment- you can tell me all about it when we get back!


3. Create a room into obstacle course( MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP AFTER)

4. Do some push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks. Show your little brother or sister how to do them. Keep track how many you do during the day. Add them up, subtract do some math.

5. Practice balancing: balance on one foot, How long? Balance on 2 body parts –foot and hand. How many different parts can you do?

6. Get Up and DANCE! Create a new dance- practice your Twist, dougie, water sprinkler etc. Be READY TO SHOW ME!

7. Go to one of these great Movement sites:

8. Just take a walk……

MIddle School + High School

Students may pick activities of interest to them and incorporate exercises that encompass the various components of physical fitness--cardiorespiratory, flexibility, muscular strength, or muscular endurance. The activity list is not all inclusive. Students are able to use their creativity with activities that they prefer.
