Senior Night/Updated Schedule

Within the baseball/softball tabs on the website you will find an updated schedule with the recent changes. I also wanted to give an update on baseball/softball senior recognition, this will take place on 5/28th before the first baseball game at roughly 1:45 PM.

Baseball/Softball Update

Yesterday, our baseball and softball teams each got a pair of victories. The baseball team swept Vinalhaven in a doubleheader, 10-0 both games. The softball team swept Temple, 18-3 and 21-2. Today, the tigers face off against Carrabec at home, with a 4 PM first pitch. It has been brought to my attention that the baseball game may have a delayed start due to umpire arrival. Tomorrow, 5/23rd, our softball team will be facing off against Greenville at 1:30 PM. It is a busy week in tiger athletics, but both teams are sitting in position to make the playoffs, with the softball team sitting at 6-6 and the baseball team at 6-5. Go tigers!

Senior Night/Greenville Game

Due to Greenville not having enough players for tomorrow, we have had to move tomorrow's game to (5/29th) at 4:00 p.m. The senior recognition is also postponed to that day, immediately following the softball game.

Formative achievement tests will be given to students in grades K – 10th grade in the Fall, Winter and Spring.  Individual achievement, intelligence, and/or aptitude tests are given by the special education personnel upon written parental permission. You are entitled to and will be given the results of all tests given to your child. Don’t hesitate to ask for a full explanation of the results if one has not been given to your satisfaction. Remember that the major purpose of testing is to measure and improve student learning.

RSU 82 utilizes all assessment data to help inform our practices at the district, school, classroom and individual levels for our students.  Although we encourage students and parents to participate fully in our assessment program, it is important to note that parents/guardians may opt their child out of state testing.  If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to Mr. Lacasse to make this request in writing.
